footVolunteers

Just Drop-In is proud to be anchored within its local community, providing local services for local people. Volunteers often provide the bedrock that makes this happen and we couldn’t offer the services we do without them.

Volunteers work across all our services including Counselling, Wellbeing Activities, and Wellbeing Groups. Professionals also volunteer their specialist skills behind the scenes and we are strengthened by their specialist knowledge and abilities. We are proud to have over 40 Volunteers selflessly giving their time to children and young people.

We are firmly committed to diversity in all areas of our work. We believe we have much to learn and profit from diverse cultures and perspectives.

We welcome volunteers of any age, background or experience.

Volunteer Vacancies

We are looking for volunteers to join our admin teams in our Macclesfield and Knutsford venues, greeting and giving a warm welcome to our young people and families. If you are interested, please contact jenny.shadforth@justdropin.co.uk

UPDATE AUTUMN 2024: We are currently not looking for any new Wellbeing volunteers. Please check back here again for any volunteer vacancies in January 2025.

Trainee Counsellors

Updated autumn 2024: We do not have any Trainee Adult Counsellor vacancies at present but please continue to check this page for updates. If your training provider is able to support you in working with young people aged under 18 whilst you are training we may be able to accommodate you. If so, please get in touch by emailing hello@justdropin.co.uk

Volunteer Counsellors

We greatly benefit from a team of qualified volunteer counsellors who devote half a day to a day a week volunteering their skills to support 4 young people to access counselling.

In return we pay supervision fees, expenses and provide some amazing development opportunities.

If you are qualified and are interested in volunteering, contact hello@justdropin.co.uk

Well-being Services Volunteer

We have a team of up to 30 volunteers from all walks of life who support young people to make positive changes in their lives. We have a range of volunteering opportunities including practical support, group work and mentoring.

We provide training and support for all of our roles and volunteers report high satisfaction in volunteering.

Trustees

The work of the charity is governed by a dedicated and skilled group of Trustees.

Trustee recruitment is by invite only, but if you think you have unique skills that could help safeguard the present and future of our organisation then please get in touch, asking to speak to the Chief Officer Ann Wright.

Professional Volunteer/other opportunities

Our charity is made stronger by our professional volunteers who contribute specialist skills behind the scenes. From DIY to HR support our amazing volunteers who support the management team to deliver their functions effectively, which in turn helps them to help young people.

If you have a specialist skill and time to donate then get in touch, asking to speak to the Chief Officer Ann Wright.
