Our sleep workshops are open to parents of children aged 8-16. Led by trained Sleep Practitioners Lisa and Paige, we aim to support you in understanding why your child may be struggling to sleep, possible causes of sleeping issues and importantly, what you can do to help your child and family to get better sleep.
The workshop will explore:
1: The science of sleep and practical strategies, tips and advice
2: Optional one to one telephone parent session (arranged individually with Sleep Practitioner via phone or zoom)
Lisa is a Counselling Co-ordinator for Just Drop In, as well as a trained Sleep Practitioner, Qualified Counsellor and Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA). Lisa has over 12 years of experience in supporting young people as a Counsellor, ISVA, and Pastoral care within a school. Lisa is very passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and build self-esteem, and also has a special interest in young people’s mental health.
Paige is a Wellbeing Service Co-ordinator for Just Drop in as well as a trained Sleep Practition. Paige joined the team at the beginning of May 2021. She is extremely passionate about young people’s mental health and well-being, and has over 4 years experience in supporting children and young people within a Primary School setting, as well as volunteering for Summer schemes aged 16+. She also has experience and knowledge around Well-being, special needs and British Sign Language.
