Coronavirus Update

We are doing all we can to continue to continue to provide services for young people during this tricky time.

We are still offering telephone counselling for children and young people aged 12-17 but we are temporarily not taking new referrals for other ages. Watch this space though as we are working hard behind the scenes to make this happen. We have a fabulous well-being offer on our social media including Yoga, Mindfulness and a weekly quiz, so stay connected via this. You can still contact us to on our usual channels and we will do everything we can to help.

The Drop-In is open six days a week where volunteers offer young people a friendly and supportive environment, no appointment necessary; we also offer practical support such as internet, phone and printing usage.

Volunteers provide emotional support, information and practical help for young people with any issues which they may need support with, this could include employment, money or accommodation.  There are also one to one sessions available everyday which can be booked for people wanting an appointment to focus on specific tasks, this could be anything from filling a form in to making a benefit claim.

We act as a one-stop shop with longstanding links to specialist young people’s services such as housing advice, youth engagement service, drug & alcohol services and education and training services.

Up & Running

Once a week on a Tuesday afternoon we run a free, friendly and fun, sports & fitness group for young people aged 16-25. Professionally run by Macclesfield Performance & Run Macclesfield, each week can consist of a small group of young people, volunteers and staff taking part in sessions ranging from indoor training camps to couch 2 5k courses. If you would like to find out how to get involved, get in touch.

Advice from CAB
Every Thursday at 4pm a volunteer from Macclesfield Citizens Advice Bureau is available at Just Drop-In to work one-to-one with young people giving free, independent and confidential advice about rights and responsibilities from education to benefits and much more. Appointments must be booked in advance by emailing, texting 07718 425 405 or phoning 01625 665079.
